The following is a list of VHS and DVD releases for the television series Star Fleet made in 1980. Until the Complete Series DVD was released in 2009, circulation of the series online was mostly sourced from VHS and primarily from the US releases.
Most VHS tapes had material cut from the episodes, and ones that had complete episodes are the hardest to find. The most complete tapes came from the United States, and those too suffered from cuts.

This release, rather than being the proper episodes, six are compiled to create a compilation movie, condensing the series, seemingly telling a different story from the series. | MY-TV Master Vision 1983/1987 |
![]() | Space Quest for F-01 |
As with the previous, this release is a compilation movie.
-*The 1987 Master Vision release is longer in length, and contains a short bit of this episode as well, whereas the original does not. | MY-TV Master Vision 1983/1987 |

Unlike the previous releases in the UK, this tape was more of a proper episode release, although the two episodes are edited together. But it contains more intact material than the other two, but is unfortunately the rarest. | Thorn EMI 1984 |

Classic Family Entertainment
Edit
Despite Star Fleet never airing in the US, Eight tapes containing all 24 episodes were released by Classic Family Entertainment, packaged in sleeves bearing lurid, largely irrelevant illustrations. Each tape contained 3 episodes each edited to fit about an hours length - thus scenes were edited out, usually out of the middle episode on the tapes. These releases, despite being incomplete were more true to the series than the UK compilation movies and were generally the prime source of online fan trading.

Canada
Edit
The Canadian releases were released some time in the late 1980's or early 1990's, each containing 2 episodes each tape. Unlike the US or UK releases, they were complete up to even the commercial intermission titles. Unfortunately these were extremely rare and very few were produced. The episodes were also given incorrect and sometimes rather irrelevant titles.
